Abstract "Process for the production of bio-naphtha from complex blends of naturally occurring fats & oils" The invention relates to a process for making a biodiesel and bio-naphtha from a complex blend of fats and oils naturally occurring, wherein said complex mixture is optionally subjected to a refining treatment to remove most triglycerides and non-fatty non-acidic components, thereby obtaining refined oils; said complex mixture or refined oils undergo a hydrolysis step to obtain a mixture of glycerol and free fatty acids; said free fatty acid mixture is subjected to a fractionation step to obtain: a portion of liquid or substantially liquid free fatty acids (phase 1); and said phase 1 is transformed into alkyl esters as biodiesel by esterification; said phase s is transformed into linear or substantially linear paraffins such as bio-naphtha: by hydrodeoxygenation or by decarboxylation of free fatty acids; or from said phase s fatty acid soaps are obtained which are transformed into linear or substantially linear paraffins such as bio-naphtha by decarboxylation of the soaps.
