PREPARATION FOR CHEMICAL CASTRATION OF BULL-CALVES

The invention is related to veterinary andrology, in particular, to preparations for chemical castration of bull-calves. The technical objective of the invention is development of a preparation intended for chemical castration of bull-calves that contributes to prevention of injuries of market cattle and promotes weight gain by means of complete and quick suppression of sexual activity of bull-calves with a minimum negative effect on the animal organism; the objective is attained by using a lactic acid-glycerol-lidocaine complex as the preparation components. The proposed preparation named "Khimcast" by the inventor includes lactic acid, and further includes glycerol and lidocaine hydrochloride. The active component, 40% aqueous solution of lactic acid, stably retains its aggregate state in the preparation, does not have any side effects on the animal organism, does not cause any changes in meat proteins. Glycerol has a depositing effect restraining quick elimination of the preparation from the place of injection. Lidocaine has an anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory effect. The preparation is well tolerated by animals.
