METHOD FOR QUALITY CONTROL OF LONG-LENGTH PRODUCTS MADE OF A SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY

Use: for determining homogeneity of a long-length material in products, primarily wire-type products, made of a shape memory alloy. Essence of the invention: a method for detection of non-homogeneous sections in long-length products made of a shape memory alloy can be implemented by means of the device shown in the drawing. The method comprises feeding of a product 6 through a device 4 where it is subjected to cooling to a temperature lower that the temperature of material transition to the martensite state, with measurement of thermo-EMF of the wire. From thermo-EMF variation, areas of the product are detected where phase transition zone does not comply with the predetermined one, therefore, such areas differ in physical properties and must be rejected. The technical result: expansion of the field of application of existing analogues.
