SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING DECISION-MAKING REGARDING THE DESIGN OF TERRACES COVERED WITH EXTENSIVE OR SEMI-EXTENSIVE PLANTATIONS

The invention relates to a system able to provide for the capability of flood catchment and the retention of pollutants especially of heavy metals in respect of the climatic characteristics, the design of the planted terrace and the crucial design parameters such as maximum and average weight. The aforementioned characteristics make possible the optimal design of planted terraces for maximum flood catchment and pollutants with the least possible cost and weight. The system is composed of simplified algorithms allowing the application of the invented system to portable personal computers as well as to any kind of smart devices (e.g. cellular phones, tablets). The database of the system and the simple graphical user interface system allow the utilization of the system even by non-specialized persons.
