A NOVEL HDPE NANO-COMPOSITE USING MULTIWALLED CARBON NANOTUBES(MWCNT) AND NANO-SILICON DIOXIDE (SIO2) WITH BALANCED DIELECTRIC,MECHANICAL AND FLAME PROPERTIES FOR INSULATION APPLICATIONS
The present subject matter relates to a flame retardant high density polyethylene (HDPE) nano-composite material for use in multiple applications, particularly in insulation applications. The HDPE nano-composite includes High density polyethylene material (HDPE), an acid functionalized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube (MWCNT), a blending agent and a silane coupling agent, and nano powder of nano-SiO2. The HDPE nano-composites are used in mainly insulation applications in Power Engineering. To be published with Fig. 1
