METHOD FOR PRODUCING A GASOLINE WITH A LOW SULPHUR AND MERCAPTANS CONTENT

The present application concerns a method for treating a gasoline containing sulphur compounds and olefins comprising the following steps: a) a step of hydrodesulphurisation of said gasoline in order to produce a sulphur depleted effluent consisting of passing said gasoline in a mixture with hydrogen over at least one hydrodesulphurisation catalyst b) a step of separating the partially desulphurised gasoline the excess hydrogen added and the HS formed in step a) c) a catalytic step of sweetening the desulphurised gasoline from step b) which converts the residual mercaptans into thioethers via an addition reaction with the olefins.
