BIOFEED BACK THROUGH ELECTRONIC GONIOMETER

The present Invention relates to a new approach to get biofeedback using a mechanical device Goniometer. The study was aimed to help a specially challenged person to improve his muscle activity and help his bio-therapist to communicate with him in a better way, since it is an enormous challenge to reach out to them. The feedback obtained from the device is auditory in nature as compared to the visual feedback obtained from the EMG. Experiments were also carried out to test the improvement in the range of muscle activity as a result of the auditory feedback received by the person. Any Mentally Challenged person with a physical disability of a joint can be made to exercise with the help of this device. The light weighed device has to be mounted on the respective joint which the physician is intending to cure. The device with its adjustable arm lengths can be mounted to work on almost all joints. The device and attached Velcros are required to implement this invention.
