A lock arranged on a suitcase capable of being opened or closed without using a zipper and a travel suitcase. The lock comprises an operating part (1) and a locking part that are separately mounted the operating part is not disposed on the frame of the suitcase and the locking part is disposed on the frame (701) of the suitcase. The locking part comprises at least one locking unit (2). A force transfer mechanism (3) is connected between the operating part and the locking part to transfer force between the operating part and the locking part. The operating part comprises an operating member. The locking unit comprises a lock head (22) and a lock hook (23). The operating member is driven to propel through the force transfer mechanism the lock head or the lock hook to move so as to achieve locking or unlocking of the lock. The lock is arranged on the travel suitcase. The operating part and the locking part of the lock are separately arranged. Therefore the problem in the prior art that the lock can only be mounted on the side surface of the suitcase is solved the locking part can be mounted on the frame of the suitcase and the operating part can be mounted at any position of the suitcase.
