A method for retrofitting an existing ethylbenzene or cumene plant(s) to produce ethylbenzene or cumene, said method comprising the step of replacing the existing transalkylation process with the process of any preceding claim, wherein said ethylbenzene or cumene plant(s) have heat integration between an allcylation reactor and a transalkylation reactor.
