PROCESS FOR OBTAINING ETHANOL FROM AGAVE LECHUGUILLA.

摘要

The present disclosure is related to a rich in ethanol fermentation coming from biomass enzymatic hydrolysates of Agave lechuguilla, pretreated by autohydrolysis and the production process. The lechuguilla is a native plant of the arid zones in the north of Mexico and south of the United States with a wide geographic distribution. Currently, the lechuguilla agave is a fundamental element for the economy of many peasant families, by the net income that the same represents, for at least one-third of the year. The lechuguilla fiber is used for the elaboration of different products; however this plant has not been used so far for the ethanol production.
