The present invention proposes a combination of nitrogen and carbon source with mineral salts for preparing a selective medium for the production of blastospores from Beauveria bassiana fungus, where the carbon source is colloidal chitin and the nitrogen source is flour resulting from the cotton seed embryo. Said culturing medium may stimulate the production of enzymes for degrading the cuticle of insects by means of isolating the B. bassiana entomopathogenic fungus. The medium of the present invention is useful for producing 18 times more proteolytic enzymes Pr1 and Pr2 and 4 more times chitinolytic enzyme NAGasa compared to the traditional medium for producing Sabouraoud dextrose broth. It was also probed, that the selected medium was useful for reducing to half the time required for infecting and killing the conchuela plague insect of Epilachna varivestis bean, i.e., 2 days instead of 4 days, compared to traditional medium.
