The invention relates to a process line and a technology for peeling and rolling heavy steel bars with diameters in the range of 80 mm...350 mm. According to the invention the process line comprises a bar blank storing unit (1), a roller train (2) and an advance module (3) provided with two pairs of rollers (4) ensuring the working advance and fixing each bar against rotation, a module (5) for forward guiding the bars by means of some heat-treated steel pads (6) for eliminating vibrations, a peeling module (7) mounted on a main shaft (8) connected to an electric drive module (9), the bar machined by turning being taken over by a rear guiding module (10), by means of some pads (11) eliminating vibrations and providing accurate bar guiding into a rolling module (12) consisting of some hyperbolic rollers (13) smoothing the external surface, the diameter of the finished bar being then measured using an active laser measuring system (14), the technological parameters being sent online to an operating panel (15) and the commands for correction of machining accuracy being sent to the peeling module (7) having mounted a system (16) for compensating tool wear, after smoothing, the bar being taken over by a hydraulic extraction vice (17) and, due to the advance achieved by a ball screw mechanism (18) fitting out a finished-bar extraction module (19), being transferred to a discharge module (20) wherefrom the bars are taken over by a storing unit (21) for transferring them to the delivery zone.
