A method of producing L-lysine comprising the steps of: 1) culturing a producer of L-lysine belonging to Corynebacterium microorganism having the activity of a gluconate kinase (GntK) weakened compared to the endogenous activity. thereof in Corynebacterium spp. wild type, wherein the GntK has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 to obtain a cell culture; and 2) collecting L-lysine from the cell culture or microorganism, wherein the GntK activity is weakened by complete or partial deletion, substitution or partial insertion: - in a chromosomal gene encoding gluconate kinase or - in a regulatory element for chromosomal gene encoding gluconate kinase.
