A feeding system (1) for feeding piglets, a feeding system comprising a plurality of spaces for feeding said piglets, a control system (2, 3, 4) with a plurality of connecting pins arranged so that there is at least one connection plug near each of said spaces, a plurality of water supply outlets arranged so that there is at least one water supply outlet near each connection plug, a plurality of baits (5), each one of which can be connected to a connecting plug, each bait containing a tank (7) to accommodate a quantity of food, and a food dosing device (10, 11, 12) that can be operated to dose the food from the deposit to a feeding place so that a group of said piglets can take the feed from the bait, where each bait can also be connected to a water supply outlet from which water can be dosed to the feeding place, and water dosing devices that can be operated to dose water from the water supply outlets to the respective feeding places, where the control system is adapted so that it is capable of controlling individually the food dosing device for each of the plurality of baits as well as to be able to individually control the water dosing devices, and wherein each bait (5) comprises an activity sensor that detects the activity of the piglets with respect to the feed intake of the fattening plant (5) and in which the control system is adapted to control the feed dosing device of a fattening device to dose a larger amount of feed if the associated activity sensor of the fattening device has registered an activity above a predetermined threshold.
