A transmitter (10, 110) of electron beam comprising a housing (12) enclosing a cathode (22) capable of emitting electrons within said housing (12) and a window (18) to allow said emitted electrons leave said housing (12), wherein said housing (12) has an opening (20) adapted to be at least partially applied with a set (30) of high voltage connectors, said assembly (30) being adapted to connect said cathode (22) to a power supply, said emitter of electron beam characterized by comprising a flange cooling (50) surrounding said opening (20) and having an inner channel (54) extending between an inlet port (56) and an outlet port (58) for receiving fluid for cooling said assembly (30) of high voltage connectors, wherein said flange cooling (50) is arranged on the outer surface of the housing (12) and wherein the channel inside (54) of said flange cooling (50) is formed by inner walls 10 of the cooling flange (50) and the outer surface of the housing (12).
