The invention relates to the production of materials which can be used inlubricatingcompositions for treating friction assemblies and also for restoring thefriction surfaces ofmechanisms and machine parts. The composition is produced from the products ofdehydration of natural and/or synthesized hydrates at an inherent waterremoval temperatureand dehydration product stabilization temperature in the range of 300-1200°C. Thecomposition contains oxides from the series Mg0 and/or Si02 and/or Al2O3and/or CaOand/or Fe2O3 and/or K2O and/or Na2O and consisting of a nanograin and anamorphousbinding phase. The size of the revitalizant nanostructure is in a range of 100-100000 nm andthe size of the nanograin is in a range of 2-2000 nm. The disclosed methodincludes a step forstabilizing the dehydration product at a temperature of 900-1200°C fora period of 1-3 hours,which makes it possible to form a stable conglomerate structure.
