A CONFIGURABLE SIMULATOR FOR PERFORMING A DISTRIBUTED SIMULATION

The present disclosure relates to a simulator for performing adistributed simulation. The simulator comprises a simulation controller and aplurality of configurable modular cards. The simulation controller determinesconfiguration and reconfiguration parameters of the cards, and exchangesconfiguration and reconfiguration messages with the cards. Each card comprisesa configurable input/output unit comprising a plurality of configurable inputsandoutputs, and a power supply comprising a plurality of configurable powersupplycircuits. The input/output unit exchanges configuration and reconfigurationmessages with the simulation controller. Each card comprises a processor forconfiguring the plurality of inputs and outputs of the configurableinput/output unitand the plurality of power circuits of the power supply, for reconfiguring theplurality of inputs and outputs of the configurable input/output unit and thepluralityof power circuits of the power supply, and for executing a simulation code toimplement a functionality of the simulator.
