A patent information push method during video update alerts and an information alert system. The method comprises: recording the titles of videos demanded by a user (S101); establishing correspondence between the user account and the titles of the videos demanded by the user account (S102); searching for newly uploaded videos (S103); comparing the titles of the newly uploaded videos to the titles of the videos demanded by the user (S104); if the title of a newly uploaded video is similar to the title of a video demanded by the user, transmitting update information to the user account according to the correspondence, and pushing patent information to a network service provider (S105). The present invention helps network content providers timely and rapidly notify specific users of new content that may interest the users.
