Alternative Synthesis of Iron Tetra-amido Macrocyclic Ligand

#$%^&*AU2016100095B420170615.pdf#####Abstract This research paper reports a new synthesis of iron tetra-amido macrocyclic ligand. Current synthesis procedures involve the use of numerous, dangerous toxic chemicals. The previous procedures are time consuming and costly with steps that can be avoided. The use of a carbodiimide with dimethyl malonic acid provides a safer, less time consuming and cost effective resolve to the synthesis of iron tetra-amido macrocyclic ligand. Characterisation is achieved using IH NMR and 13C NMR along with infrared absorption spectroscopic techniques.
