Provided are a method and remote controller for matching a household electrical-appliance remote controller according to a fingerprint, said method comprising: recording one or more fingerprint information, a controller code corresponding to each fingerprint, and a matching relationship between each fingerprint and said controller code; reading fingerprint information inputted by a user; if the fingerprint information inputted by the user is the fingerprint matching the controller code, then according to the fingerprint information inputted by the user, retrieving the controller code matching the fingerprint inputted by the user. The fingerprint is matched with the controller code, such that the user is able to quickly switch among operation of different household electrical appliances.
