This invention discloses a new type of intelligent Instant Messaging(IM) robot, which is able to participate in IM conversation including P2P(Peer-to-peer)and group messaging acting as an independent user. It is able to provide consultation service to user as an Expert for the specified field as well as the brain of a smart home to interact with the user, Take commands from the user and feedback on its current status. The significance of this invention is: based on IM network platform, human is able to have conversation with the intelligent robot, acquire information on professional service, or control the smart home where the intelligent robot is located.
