SET FOR THE NANO-SCALE MODELLING OF CRYSTAL STRUCTURES TO PRODUCE OPEN-TYPE MODELS

The invention relates to visual teaching aids. The present set comprises a base (1); one or more vertical stays (2) for mounting on said base; a set of flat transparent plates (3) to be mounted on said stays, said plates imitating crystallographic planes; spacers (4) for mounting on the stays between the plates (3); and a plurality of elements (5) for imitating atoms or ions. An element (5) comprises a pair of identically sized ball segments, at least one of which contains a magnet, the other segment also containing a magnet or a soft magnetic material. The set is characterized in that all of the plates (3) are identical and have no holes except for the holes for the stays, and is further characterized by the presence of templates, stencils and transparencies and by the design of the elements (5). The technical result is that the set is simple and easy to use, the models can be easily transformed, and the total number of crystal structures which can be modelled using the set can be increased without increasing the number and type of transparent plates.
