The present invention relates to a method for screening compounds with anti-inflammatory effect based on the DACT3 protein. In particular, the method consists of selecting compounds which have an activating effect on the DACT3 protein or are capable of increasing the expression thereof. The present invention also relates to novel strategies for therapy of chronic inflammatory diseases of the intestine.
