Provided are a method for counting a BGP community attribute or extended community attribute flow value, and a device. The method comprises: obtaining BGP community attribute information and/or BGP extended community attribute information of a data stream according to a flow count reporting command; reporting the obtained BGP community attribute information and/or BGP extended community attribute information to a second device via a flow reporting protocol.
