The invention concerns a restraining device (12) for a medical imaging or medical thera- py system (10). The restraining device (12) is designed for use in medical imaging or medical therapy of a part of the body (22) of a patient (20) being supported on a sup- port (11) of the medical imaging or medical therapy system (10). The restraining device (12) is designed to accommodate the part of the body (22). At least one cushion (127) is joint to the restraining device (12).
