The present invention provides a lactic acid bacterial strain having antibacterial activity for an antibacterial purpose, wherein lactobacillus plantarum IRWEE-01 produces high levels of various antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral substances including cyclic dipeptide and DL-3-phenyl lactic acid isolated from the culture supernatant. Therefore, the use of the strain according to the present invention can produce high yields of antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral substances at low cost.
