Disclosed is a virtual airport model ground surface texture projection rendering method, comprising the following steps: S1: establish a texture map; S2: output the map to a newly built undivided surface patch model having the same projection area as the map by means of a texture map channel; S3: store the newly built undivided surface patch model and the texture map in a video memory; and S4: a view engine loads the newly built surface patch model and the captured texture map, and invokes resources of a video card for rendering. By means of the method, model vertex information conventionally computed by a CPU is transferred to a texture map channel and computed by directly invoking GPU resources of a video card, and the information is also directly stored in the video memory and directly invoked by the GPU without being reallocated in a system memory by means of a system bus. Therefore, the utilization rate and processing speed of system resources are greatly improved, and computational resources of the CPU are also released, so that the whole system is more efficient.
