Disclosed are a traditional Chinese medicinal composition for protection against cold, yang tonification and root securing and a preparation method and application thereof. The traditional Chinese medicinal composition is prepared from the following crude medicaments in parts by weight: 5 to 50 parts of ginseng, 5 to 50 parts of Rhizoma Anemones Altaicae, 1 to 30 parts of Fructus Liquidambaris, 1 to 30 parts of Fructus Evodiae, 5 to 50 parts of Lotus Plumule and 5 to 50 parts of Rhizoma Polygonati. The preparation method comprises grinding the crude medicaments into powder, and filling or packaging the powder in the form of powders, or preparing the powder into tablets, granules or pills at an appropriate dosage.
