The present invention applies the CT technology to the field of quarantine supervision and discloses an examination system for inspection and quarantine and method thereof. The method comprises: a CT scanner performs CT scanning on an object under inspection (17) to obtain projection data; a computing unit (15) performs reconstruction on the basis of the projection data to obtain image data reflecting internal features of the object under inspection (17), and determines the parts of organic substances or contraband for inspection and quarantine in the object under inspection (17); a display unit (16) enhances or highlights the displaying of the determined parts of organic substances or contraband for inspection and quarantine with respect to the other parts. The present invention overcomes the problem of overlapping image objects in single-view-angle or multi-view-angle X-ray machines, and also solves the problem in ordinary CT images of organic substances including contraband for inspection and quarantine being not highlighted, not precise and having poor contrast.
