The present invention relates to a method for safely guiding an aircraft to an airport stand by using a 2D laser scanner and a motor for identifying an aircraft and safely guiding the aircraft to a stop point of an aircraft stand and, more particularly, to an algorithm which uses a scanner equipped with a 2D laser sensor and a motor in an advanced visual cycle induction system (A-VDGS: Advanced-VDGS) to acquire a horizontal profile image of an aircraft by a laser scanning method to identify feature points of the acquired image of the aircraft and identify an aircraft type and safely guide the aircraft to a stop position of a concourse gate. The algorithm of the present invention provides an algorithm for acquiring information on the front surface of an aircraft by a laser scanning method with a scanner system implemented by a 2D laser sensor and a motor in an A-VDGS, a method for distinguishing feature points of an aircraft of a horizontal profile image of an aircraft by specific regions, a method for setting a centerline, and a method for guiding an aircraft to a stop point of an aircraft stand.
