The present invention relates to the field of Internet, and provides a method for pushing information during friend online notification and an online gaming system. The method comprises: recording a mobile phone number bound to a user and network IDs of friends in a friend list of the user; monitoring whether the user is online; if yes, maintaining the original status; if not, monitoring whether there is new login information about the network IDs of the friends in the friend list of the user; if not, maintaining the original status; if yes, sending a message to a mobile phone of the user to notify the user that a friend logs in and pushing patent information to the user. By monitoring friend online status, the invention can enable a user to timely know the login status of his/her friends when he/she is offline, and also demonstrates the rights of the patentee (applicant).
