A method for pushing information in an automatic video updating technique, and a video system, the method comprising: recording a tag matching a video, recording a video storage capacity upper limit set by a user, and recording a video update time preset by the user (S101); when the number of times a user has watched videos having a specific tag exceeds a specific number threshold, setting the content corresponding to the tag as a user interest (S102); detecting a video watched by the user and deleting same, and detecting the current time (S103); determining whether the current time is a video download time and whether the mobile telephone of the user is connected to WiFi (S104); if not, then maintaining the original state (S105); if so, then downloading a video having a tag corresponding to the user interest, the total size of the downloaded video file not exceeding the video storage capacity upper limit set by the user, and pushing patent information to the user (S106). The present method for pushing information in an automatic video updating technique, and video system enable a user to watch videos offline, and the interests of the patent (application) holder are highlighted by means of pushing information after the technique is used.
