The present invention relates to an infant safety monitoring system using a smartphone-based wearable device, the infant safety monitoring system comprising: an SpO2 sensor, which is an integrated type of IR/Red LED for pulse wave measurement and a photo diode, and in which a light-emitting element (IR/Red LED) and a light-receiving sensor (photo diode) are packaged for reflective measurement; a constant-current LED switching unit for driving the LED of the SpO2 sensor; a Bluetooth module for Bluetooth communication with a smartphone; an MCU for processing the detection of SpO2 and a pulse rate, the detection of a posture, and communication from a measurement signal obtained by the SpO2 sensor; and a three-axial acceleration sensor obtaining a rotation angle by using a gravitational acceleration direction reflected in each axis, and then detecting only a supine posture and a prone posture as the postures, wherein firmware of the MCU extracts AC/DC components of a signal by applying a digital LPF in order to cancel noise in an SpO2 and pulse rate detection process and a QV algorithm in order to detect a baseline, detects a rotation angle and motion of the acceleration sensor with respect to the postures, and transmits the SpO2, the pulse rate, and posture information to the smartphone through the Bluetooth module.
