Provided are a ceiling-mounted lamp mounted on a ceiling lamp holder and an installation method thereof. The ceiling-mounted lamp comprises a lamp body (3) connected to a lamp holder (1). A lamp holder cover (2) is disposed between the lamp holder (1) and the lamp body (3), and is used to adapt to light fixtures with different specifications. The installation method of the ceiling-mounted lamp comprises: the lamp holder cover (2) engages at the lamp holder (1) such that a columnar portion (12) of the lamp holder (1) passes through a through hole (212) of the lamp holder cover (2), the lamp holder cover (2) being fixed to the ceiling of a house; an annular LED plate (8) is placed in and fixed by an annular wall buckle (317); two connection terminals of an annular PCB (51) are respectively connected to a connection wire terminal (52), an inductive PCB (6) and the LED plate (8); and a lower lamp shade (32) is screwed on to an upper lamp housing (31), a power cord being inserted into the connection wire terminal (52) so as to connect the lamp body (3) to the lamp holder cover (2).
