The invention relates to a machine (1) for dispensing beverages from a pod, comprising a frame (2), a receptacle (3) having a pod receiving zone (33), a support (51) for needles for dispensing fluids, and a system (52) for moving the needle support from a position disengaged from the pod to a position fitted over the pod. The moving system comprises a manoeuvring member (58) mounted on the frame so as to rotate about a vertical axis (X5), the manoeuvring member having a body (40) provided with at least one helical ramp (59) which cooperates with at least one pin (66) secured to a piston (67). The piston is secured to the needle support and mounted so as to move in translation along the vertical axis (X5). The at least one helical ramp has at least two zones with different gradients that are configured to correspond to a zone in which the needles move towards contact with the pod and a working zone in which the needles are fitted over the pod, respectively.
