The invention relates to a periscope comprising a high out-viewing part (2) and a low in-looking part (3) which are arranged so that they can rotate counter to each other and to each other such that incident light beams (L) via the out-viewing part (2), in a wavelength range (λ₁) which can be visible to the human eye, are guided out from the in-looking part (3) for producing a viewing path (S) which is offset in parallel. A data transmission path (Ü) which extends between the out-viewing part (2) and the in-looking part (3) is provided for transmitting data (D) to the outside of the wavelength range (λ₁) which is visible to the human eye. The invention also relates to a vehicle (10) comprising a periscope (1) and to a method for transmitting data using a periscope (1).
