The present invention relates to a method for washing a crude oil tank with water and a system therefor. The method for washing a crude oil tank with water comprises: a wash water injection step for injecting high-temperature wash water into a crude oil tank; a gas discharge step for discharging, to the outside, gas generated in the crude oil tank; a high pressure water discharge step for discharging high-temperature and high-pressure water into the crude oil tank so as to mix crude oil inside the crude oil tank with the wash water;a crude oil discharge step for discharging, to the outside, crude oil floating on the mixed water in which the crude oil is mixed; a step for heating, to a predetermined temperature, wash water obtained using the mixed water from which the floating crude oil has been discharged, and then injecting the same into the crude oil tank; and a step for injecting rotation water into the crude oil tank depending on whether the concentration of crude oil contained in the wash water obtained using the mixed water is a predetermined value or less.
