The present invention relates to a method of cleaning water in a crude oil tank and a system thereof, including: a step of injecting washing water into a crude oil tank; a gas discharging step of discharging gas generated in the crude oil tank to the outside; a high-pressure water discharging step of discharging high-temperature and high-pressure water into the crude oil tank such that the crude oil in the crude oil tank is mixed with washing water; a crude oil discharging step of discharging crude oil floating on an upper part of water mixed with the crude oil to the outside; a step of raising, by predetermined temperature, the washing water using the mixed water from which the floating crude oil is discharged and excluded and then inserting the resultant washing water to the crude oil tank; and a step of inserting rotating water into the crude oil tank depending on whether the concentration of the crude oil contained in the washing water using the mixed water is less than a predetermined value. Accordingly, the present invention is able to clean a crude oil tank by using water.
