The present disclosure relates to drone technology, and in particular to aerial drone technology. This includes both drone hardware/hardware configuration, and drone software/software configuration. Embodiments are described by reference to a "selfie drone", being an aerial drone device that is configured to take photos (and/or video) of a user (for example by positioning itself in a defined location relative to the user). However, it will be appreciated that various aspects of technology described herein have wider application.
