A method for generating a hexahedral mesh based on a Polycube of a closed form. The method comprises: converting a surface triangular mesh into a tetrahedral mesh; cutting the tetrahedral mesh into a new model with a cutting face; acquiring an initial three-dimensional frame field; generating a smooth frame field without a singular line inside according to a surface normal constraint; acquiring a convention relationship on the cutting face according to the smooth frame field; obtaining an initial parametrization result according to Poisson optimization of the frame field on the model after cutting; applying norm optimization to an initial value to get a final Polycube of a closed form; applying mixed integer optimization to get a final parametrization resu and extracting a hexahedral mesh. According to the method, a hexahedral mesh can be generated automatically from a triangular mesh. The method is irrelevant to an initial position, moreover, can better satisfy a feature constraint of a model, and can obtain a hexahedral mesh of high quality for a model of a complex topology structure.
