The present invention relates to a lithium orthosilicate having macro-pores for collecting carbon dioxide and coral-shaped morphology and a producing method thereof. The present invention uses a metal-organic skeleton (MOF) containing lithium and silicon as a precursor and lithium silicate materials having a nanoporous macro-pore and coral-shaped morphology can be produced, wherein the lithium silicate materials are generated from a thermal conversion process due to a magnetic template effect of the MOF when the precursor is simply converted into heat, thereby being able to be applied as a carbon dioxide absorbent having a remarkably improved absorption rate and absorption amount of carbon dioxide.
