The present invention relates to a coating grooving material, and to a method for grooving a road coating which can increase the efficiency of grooving a road coating by applying a coating agent on the surface of a road using the coating grooving material. The coating grooving material prevents a vehicle from slipping while the vehicle is driving on a road by increasing friction with the wheels of the vehicle, and has excellent adhesive strength. The coating grooving material comprises: a water soluble epoxy resin prepared by polymerizing epichlorohydrin, bisphenol-A, and methyl methacrylate resins with a neutralizing agent in water, and emulsifying the mixture; a mixture additive including an alkyl alkoxysilane additive and wax; an inorganic pigment; and an anti-slip agent.
