The present invention relates to a polymer-magnesium ion conductive material, a preparation method thereof, a magnesium ion conductive polymer membrane comprising the polymer-magnesium ion conductive material, and to a magnesium battery comprising the magnesium ion conductive polymer membrane. The polymer-magnesium ion conductive material includes a polymer and magnesium salts. The polymer-magnesium ion conductive material exhibits excellent magnesium ion conductivity. When applied to a battery or, particularly, to a magnesium battery as an electrolyte, the polymer-magnesium ion conductive material can increase battery characteristics.
