The present invention relates to a Salmonella enteritidis mutant strain; a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating salmonellosis, wherein the pharmaceutical composition including the same; a fodder additive including the Salmonella enteritidis mutant strain; and a method for preventing and treating salmonellosis by inoculating the Salmonella enteritidis mutant strain into an animal. The Salmonella enteritidis mutant strain according to the present invention provides a probiotic vaccine which has ensured safety by preventing the recovery of pathogenicity of an attenuated strain, has a stable genetic trait, has a high preventing effect, and has excellent effects in preventing and treating salmonellosis. Moreover, the Salmonella enteritidis mutant strain can be used in producing a vaccine composition or a fodder composition, and salmonellosis of a human and an animal (specifically, a bird) can be effectively prevented and treated by using the vaccine composition or the fodder composition.
