DNA Method for manufacturing transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans with DNA methyltransferase and use thereof

摘要

The present invention relates to transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans transformed to overly express DNA methyltransferase 3a (Dnmt3a), and to a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, detailed mechanism of DNA methylation by Dnmt3a and related factors are identified, and a gene crucial in adjusting the lifespan of Caenorhabditis elegans is investigated. Also, the transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans can be used as an animal model for screening a drug regarding diseases related to DNA methylation.
