The present invention provides a portable electronic device, comprising: a battery for supplying power to the portable electronic device; a battery control logic for controlling charging and discharging of the battery; a charge buffer for buffering charge; a charge buffer control logic for controlling charging and discharging of the charge buffer; and a power control module for controlling the battery control logic to block the power from being discharged from the battery and for controlling the charge buffer control logic to discharge charge stored in the charge buffer when the supply power is insufficient to the power requirement of the portable electronic device while the portable electronic device is operated by the supply power supply of an external power supply device.
