The present invention relates to a method for growing chives having an improved growth speed and a high content of nutrients, and to chives grown through the same. The present invention provides a method for producing chives having high sulfur contents, and chives having high sulfur contents, wherein the method comprises: a chive sowing step of sowing chive seeds in a seedling tray; a chive field preparing step of sorting a field of sandy soil having pH 6.0-7.0 to transplant chive seedlings, and spraying 1,500-2,000 kg of compost, 250-400 kg of an organic fertilizer, and 30 kg of a first sulfur fertilizer including sulfur per 1,000 m^2 of the field; a chive transplanting step of transplanting, in the prepared field, the chive seedlings grown for 35-45 days after being sowed in the chive sowing step, and diluting and irrigating 2-3 kg of a second sulfur fertilizer including sulfur in 1,000 kg of water per 1,000 m^2 of the field; a foliage spraying step of performing foliage spraying on the transplanted chives by 0.15-0.30 kg of the second sulfur fertilizer including sulfur, while being diluted in 150 kg of water, every one week after 12-16 days from the transplantation of the chives in the chive transplanting step; and a chive harvesting step of harvesting chives when 75-85% of the total chives have leaf lengths of 23-27 cm after the foliage spraying step. According to the present invention, a chive growth speed is rapid, and an excellent harmful insect prevention effect is ensured. In particular, by culturing chives having high contents of sulfur and nutrients which are useful to a human body, general consumers can easily consume sulfur.
