The present invention relates to an epoxy composite material having improved heat stability and mechanical properties compared to a conventional epoxy resin by adding expansion graphite and graphite oxide as fillers in an epoxy resin, and to a method for producing the same. Expansion graphite and graphite oxide are included as fillers in an epoxy resin. According to the present invention, expansion graphite and graphite oxide are added as fillers in an epoxy resin, so expansion graphite and graphite oxide which are carbon-based fillers having excellent heat resistance are simultaneously used. Thus, the reduction of a total filler content is induced, and thermal stability is ensured. Moreover, excellent dispersibility of expansion graphite which is a carbon-based filler and properties in which many functional groups of graphite oxide induce strong surface bonds with an epoxy resin dually reinforce epoxy. Accordingly, synergy is ensured, and mechanical strength is improved.
