The present invention relates to a chromanone-2-carboxylic acid derivative and a chroman-2-carboxylic acid derivative which can be used as an intermediate for effective medicinal components currently available in the market, and to preparation methods thereof, in which an intermediate represented by chemical formula A can be beneficially used to manufacture effective components of the drugs ″Fidarestat″, ″Repinotan″ and ″Nebivolol″, which are currently in use clinically. Particularly, the preparation methods of the chromanone-2-carboxylic acid derivative and the chroman-2-carboxylic acid derivative according to the present invention have simple production processes, and can produce an optically pure form of a target compound without using a chiral catalyst.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
