The present invention provides a production method of an oyster hydrolysate and a peptide isolated therefrom. The oyster hydrolysate produced by the method reduces the number of melanocytes and reduces the distribution of melanin granules present in a skin layer of the skin of around the melanocytes, thereby being able to be helpfully used as a health functional food for skin whitening or a cosmetic composition.
